I ordered salmon salad and it seemed to be leftover salmon (it smelled like old too). My husband ordered a gnocchi with meat and the meat came with many fat. I didn't like the food. The place is beautiful.

The food was incredible. The service started out good, but then our waiter was MIA. We were almost late to our show because it took forever for the bill to come. Ordered coffee, was brought an empty mug and I guess they forgot about me. I was charged, but was in too big of a hurry to get the bill... More

Ate here before our show. Tim our waiter helpful and friendly and honest about which dishes received better customer feedback. Our table had short ribs and pork shank. We all enjoyed our entrees. There was also an extensive wine list to choose from. I would return.
We had dinner on a Saturday evening. Everything was very good and would recommend starting with the Charcuterie Board. The food is a bit pricey based on the proximity to the Theater District
Wow! If meals could change your life..... Just had dinner at Six Penn, saw chicken paprikash on the menu, and decided that when in Pittsburgh, try the Eastern European dishes. Great heavenly days! Simply perfect. This Hungarian delicacy, done right, has complex flavors when it all comes together, and they did it right. My partner had the baked chicken with... More
Hubby and I had dinner before a show. He had the Parisian Gnocchi and I had the Roasted Chicken. We both enjoyed the flavor of our main courses, and they very thoughtfully split our very delicious Caesar salad at no charge. Our server was nice, though she started off by excusing herself for being late to attend to us because... More
We had an absolutely fantastic meal here with friends. This is a fun, festive restaurant with top-flight food and a nice selection of fairly priced wine. We'll be back the next time we are in Pittsburgh.
We had dinner after the ballet. The restaurant is within walking distance to the theater. The service was friendly but we had trouble locating our server when we finished so we could pay our bill. The salmon I ordered was over cooked and the child's SPK steak and potatoes was very tough. The other two adults in our party had... More
Stopped in for dinner during a very busy night in Pittsburgh. Penguins stadium game and big shows at both Heinz Hall and the Benedum. Six Penn is very convenient to anything in the theater district and is an easy walk to anywhere. The restaurant was very crowded as might be expected and we had a fairly large group. They were... Eat the specials. I come here at least once a season to check out whats new on the menu and to see what beauty the cooks have created. They really do food well, seem to choose great ingredients and push the envelop on creative food in a way that is both elegant without being stuffy. Its as if it takes... More
