Wanted to eat supper before the hockey game at a place that wasn't going to be packed and this was our choice. The menu was a little odd; I ended up with a steak and my husband got something with meatballs. Both of us enjoyed our meal and my husband even said he'd go back because there were more options... You have a choice of a nice breakfast buffet or ordering off the menu. My only issue was that the scrambled eggs in the buffet were lightly salted during cooking. This is not beneficial to hotel guests on a low salt diet.

The food is really good with awesome, friendly bartenders. Nice atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their food, the meatballs are HUGE!

I really really like this place before a Pens game. It's a cool, clean, moderately priced restaurant .... the service is always very spot on, and the beer selection is never disappointing. My only complaint is that the menu is sometimes too ..... I dunno ... hip? Elegant? I really don't know how to describe it. If you're a simple... More

Recently spent an overnight at the Doubletree In Pittsburgh. Normally not crazy about hotel restaurants where you get socked with the prices for poor food. This was totally to the contrary. The prices were reasonable and the menu choices were savory. We started with the Homemade Tater Tots. Delish! My guest had the crab cake sandwich which was chockfull of... More

This restaurant is part of the Doubletree downtown. But it's clearly got a real-restaurant cook staff, based on the quality of the dinners I had there - a great pork shank, and a nice light meatballs appetizer one night that I wasn't real hungry. The bar is also a real value - they make a great Manthattan, and one of... More

Irena and Tanisia are some of the most friendly and attentive waitresses I've ever met. They check to make sure things are OK and spend a little time talking with you too. Most of the food I've tried is pretty good.

We went to the Bigelow Grille before a Pittsburgh Penguins game. We don't normally like going to hotel restaurants as they seems to be overpriced for mediocre quality food. But I could make a reservation and it's close to the arena so we decided to give it a try. And we were glad we did. Both my husband and I... More

I had a good experience here. Was seated quickly staff was friendly and the meat balls were great. My waitress was very nice and checked on me several times. Thanks for a good meal if I am back at the DoubleTree I would eat here again.

I have been staying at the DoubleTree for years and eating in the Grill on a few occasions. Overall not bad but recently my meal was not great at all. It was on a Monday night not busy but took forever for the server to come over. When she did finally take the order, she forgot my soup (which, btw,... More
