My husband got some Thai chicken tater tots which was actually pretty good. I had the welsh cheddar Mac and cheese and it didn’t disappoint. Great pub food. Fun little dive.

We went to visit for the weekend and this was the lunch suggestion. The people who work there are friendly and very helpful! Apparently they own the bar next door also so you can choose this counter service or the sit down restaurant. I had...More

I’m going to keep this as short as possible. If they had a Michelin guide for Pittsburgh, and they gave out Michelin stars to fast casual restaurants, this place would have three. Oddly enough I have never physically stepped foot inside this establishment, I always...More

Had a Scotch Egg and Drew Tine fries while at the Roundabout Brewery. I like them both. Hot fresh and great with the beers. I would like to try the actual location. Thanks for a great snack on a rare night out without the kids!!

I was in the mood for "a good donut". I performed a search and discovered "Just Good Donuts" are sold here. Although it was morning the savory cheddar brisket pie was ready. There were many options to choose from. Flaky, delicious, and a perfect way...More

We stopped by here thanks to the suggestion from the nearby UPS guy. They had great fish and chips and I had a pie! After trying to sort it all on my own I asked our host what he suggests and he suggested the Scotch...More

Being of Scottish and English decent, we had to try The Pub Chip Shop. For years we would travel to find Scottish and English pub food. We do like Pipers Pub, and Clauddah. Finding good Scottish pastry is hard to find. The local Scottish bakery...More

Wanted to eat before we found our hotel. My husband wanted fish and chips. Found this restaurant. The cook was real nice and accommodating. I must say we were disappointed in our food. Too much breading. By the time we took off the outside breading,...More

This a unique little restaurant on the South Side of Pittsburgh. My husband and I went there for lunch and also ordered some of their savory pies to take home for dinner and for our daughter for dinner. I will start with why I rated...More

Description
Located at 19th & East Carson Street in a small storefront in the heart of South Side's Historic District, The Pub Chip Shop is a mostly traditional take on an English takeaway Fish & Chip Shop and Savoury Bakery. The Chip Shop portion of our menu is stacked with traditional UK favorites - dipped-to-order beer battered haddock or shrimp, crisp hand-cut chips, Beer Battered Mars Bars and Scotch Eggs, to name a few. For the non-traditionalists - Cornmeal Crusted Oysters and house-made meat alternative Seitan or maybe you'd like to try a Ripper or a White Chapel? Mushy peas, Welsh Cheddar Mac & Cheese and Seafood Chowder are a few of our house made sides. Not to be outdone, The Pub Pie Shop keeps our pie case stocked with all sorts of fresh baked deliciousness. Pressed English-style meat and non-meat Savoury Pies, hand made Pasty, Sausage Rolls, fresh baked Baps for all of our sandwiches and a few sweet treats. Our bakery offerings range from the traditional - Cornish Pasty, Scotch or Steak & Ale Pies to the slightly Americanized Pierogi Pasty and Vegan Vindaloo Lentil Pie. All of our bakery items are made from scratch with only the freshest ingredients and baked fresh daily. All bakery items can be purchased ready to eat straight from the case or can be packed up for you to reheat at home.
