Walking into the dining car was a great experience! The food was average and very reasonably priced. The service was prompt and friendly. We were there for breakfast and they have your basic breakfast foods.

We ate breakfast here each morning we were here. Our waitress (Kathy) was great. She promptly greeted us and offered us coffee. The breakfast menu has a wide variety of standard breakfast items prepared very well. Our favorite was the stuffed French toast. Many of the options also include coffee and juice. Sit by the window and you'll get a... More

We were met by "Donna" with a very stern face and the first words were "How many?" No "Hello" or "Welcome" or a smile. She was very unfriendly and abrasive not just to us but every one that came in after us. She didn't even hand us the menu's, she just laid them on the table while we were standing... More

Friendly staff. Nice view of the farms and Amish buggies going by. Breakfast was good. We went early so it was nice and quiet. Not very big so when all the families started to come with kids it got rather noisy.

Small but good kids breakfast menu. Service was great and the place has a lot of character. There are places outside that the kids enjoyed exploring around the motel.

While visiting Lancaster we were looking for something different to do - dining in a caboose, visiting the caboose motel and taking a train ride was perfect. Food was delicious, service delightful.

Ate breakfast here in Dec 2016 - myself, my wife, and my 4yo son. First off - this was during the huge cold snap that hit PA/MD/etc in mid-December. It got very cold very fast and the night we stayed at the Red Caboose Motel (where this restaurant is), we had an ice storm. Of course, we had forgotten to... More

The food was good, service was quick and friendly server. Even got some Christmas carolers sing to everyone while we ate. Right next to the Red caboose motel.

We arrived 10am this morning (Saturday) and it was quite full. We waited about about 4-5 minutes before a waitress acknowledged us and sat us. After that, service was quick and efficient. Food came out very quickly, and it was good and filling. Only downside that it is a little on the pricey side-- $10 for 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns,... More

This is second try at Casey Jones in about 1 month for breakfast. Both times the service was lackluster. The hostess was unfriendly and had us wait for a table (15min) when there were multiple open tables. We asked if we could sit at one and she said the tables could not be seated due to location (front of restaurant)... More
