Sadly, there is not much to choose from in Slippery Rock, so we were elated to find this restaurant with excellent food & very friendly service. The beer was great & food was creative & saved us from a fast food restaurant. We would gladly return.

Took advice from other TripAdvisor reviewers and spent our only dinner here. Bread is ok, but butter is awesome! Ribs were excellent. My wife had crab and shrimp pasta...good and a little on spicy side. Home-made root beer for the kids was very good. Did a beer sampler and the Abbey Rhoad IPA was far away the best beer. All... Visiting my alma mater (from many years ago) we found This great place for dinner. Named for the North Country Trail. Salads, Burgers & brews. Everything is delicious...the fries are to die for! Great place in the small town of Slippery Rock!

Went here for my hubby's birthday dinner in 4/2017, a Tuesday night. We got seated right away (in the real dining room - not the bar area). We wanted a real "dinner", as opposed to 'bar food'. There were a couple of "dinner entree" items on the menu, but most of it was bar food (burgers, wings, sandwiches, appetizers, salads).... More

A nice quaint brew pub. With all locally brewed beer and wine. They don't serve hard liquor and they close at 11 pm. Sometimes the wait is up to an hour but the novelty of the bar makes the wait interesting and often times they have live music.

Great brews on tap, Kira N. our server was attentive and efficient. Salmon salad was excellent, BBQ Pork was delicious. This is a must stop in the Rock, most interesting building and the many rooms with a lot of hand cravings are unique

Well you might expect I'm going to talk about the beer at a place called North Country Brewing. But the beer was nothing to write home about. On the other hand the food was fantastic!!!

The atmosphere is awesome! You'll find little hidden gems everywhere. The food is pretty good. The beer....well, it used to be much better before they went into production in large batches. Now, we don't even go there for the beer, once in a while for lunch or dinner, but they need to go back to brewing small batches on site.
