My wife and I chose this location because we were staying near the airport and didn't feel like going back into the city. Nice area and nice drive from where we were staying. The shop was clean and the staff was very friendly but seemed frazzled and was not that busy fri night around 4pm. I got a steak with... More

Located in a mall on Baltimore Pike, Jim's Steaks has a long pedigree in Philly steak sandwich lore, having a place among the top spots in South Philly, home of the cheesesteak. The Springfield location does not disappoint, as the sandwiches are well-prepared and not too expensive. They offer all the options you could hope for, on Amoroso rolls.

I ordered a CHEESEsteak sandwich with provolone. I didnt see any cheese. I lifted up the meat and there it was. One paper thin slice on each half. So thin and flavorless it may as well have not even been on there. You would think they would put a lot of cheese onto a CHEESEsteak sandwich. Not here. The search... More

I visited Jim's after hearing all the reviews and didn't want to fight the crowds or parking at their South St. Location. The staff was very friendly. They have pretty good steaks, ample parking and reasonable prices.

Very friendly counter staff! Giant sandwiches and a friendly atmosphere! 2 people can share a sandwich and still experience the mass of a Philly cheesesteak born of South Philly ! Try it out

We were passing through the Philadelphia area, but the Jim's on South Street and our traditional alternative, the one in NE Philly, were too far out of our way. We were delighted to find this location and got our fix! The steaks, fries, soda and milkshakes were all great. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and seating was readily available.... More

Stopped at 10pm, the place was almost empty with a few dirty tables. Placed order for a cheesesteak. A few minutes later they said it was ready and asked what I wanted on it.. I said nothing, they asked if I wanted salt and pepper on it which was surprising since I would of thought they would season the meat... More

Literally one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. I love Jim's steaks. I've been going to Jim's on South Street since I was a little girl, then to the Springfield location when they opened up on Baltimore Pike. I've had a lengthy career in restaurants, from cooking at the corner pizza shops to managing 4 star... More

Some business associates from Brazil and FL wanted an authentic Philly cheesesteak. There are tons of places to go. Sadly they took someone's advice and asked me to take them here. All i can say is poor, very poor. Find any local bar snd you'll do better.
