Food is delicious. One of the best outdoor spots around. You can bring your four legged friend on the outside patio. Cozy when they light the fireplaces.

Great outdoor eating atmosphere with a interesting mix of small plate and entree selections. The Carolina pulled pork sandwich is my favorite. Live music is offered from time to time and don't forget to invite your best friend, the family dog.
great menu, great escargot, salads, mushroom soup, shrimp dejon, good wine selection, beautiful bar, and outside courtyard, dog friendly, only complaint is $3.25 for a soda, you do receive a refill.
Stopped in with family and friends when we were way too hungry, and to our surprise food came out super fast -- so fast it was unlikely made to order HOWEVER my corned beef with BBQ and cabbage with side of au gratin potatoes was superb. Can't remember having corned beef this lean and tasty. Potatoes were rich and just... More
The Four Dogs Tavern has lots of authentic historical charm and good food, too. The Marshalton Inn, just across the driveway, is a bit quieter, but offers the same menu and also has outdoor seating in nice weather. The sandwiches and burgers are tasty and quite substantial.
In the warm months you can sit outside with your furry friend. In the winter you can get the fondue which is always a fun experience for the whole family. We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed.
Food is always very good. Sitting outside on the patio in the summer is great. Music a lot of the time. If you are NOT a dog fan, you might be warned. Someone always has their dog with them. Most all aver very well behaved and just sit next to the owner. They provide water for the dogs if asked.
Great food, off the beaten track which is a plus but known to locals. Service was spot on, waitress very attentive, food was freshly made and didn't disappoint with the flavors everyone well satisfied their selection, even my picky 11 y/o. Because it is an older location, it can be tight at the table, our party was a total of... More
This place is outstanding. I love the menu, it's very unique, diverse, and it just goes well together. I can't wait to go back and try some other items off the menu. Four dogs is now in the weekly rotation. Can't believe I've lived 15 min from this place for last three years and didn't go. Awesome food!
This wonderfully converted stable of the Marshalltown Inn is a real delight. Polite, efficient service, and very popular with the local families - also can be very crowded. Had a delightful Saturday brunch, but the full menu was also available.
