Had a dinner for 2 at the Pear. It has a couple of eating rooms and a bar area. When crowded, it can get noisy, as the ceilings are low (in the 19th century building fashion) and the tables are a little close together, but not claustrophobic. The food preparation is imaginative, and the portions decent for the money. Service... More

Went for dinner on a trip to see the guys I went to college with in the early 90s. The building itself is old and had a great pub feel where we sat downstairs. The food was great, Good selection and very tasty. Good drinks, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. I would go here again when visiting friends in... More

What seems away from a large town is this small country bistro, set over two floors. Great services is provided by friendly knowledgeable staff. They openly encouraged us share starters mains and deserts as we liked the sound of each others courses. For a mid week evening it was a nice touch having a guy playing music on a fiddle.... More

We went here for a family dinner. Sat upstairs, which is nice, but next visit I would eat downstairs where it was more active. We had pan seared scallops which were divine. The short ribs were the best I ever had. Bar makes a great old fashion and dinner was complete. All five dinners were excellent. I look forward to... More

Small bistro with a unique menu. I love the calamari small plate --- light, crunchy and served with a sweet thai chili sauce. The sauce has a unique taste that I enjoy so I order this every time we eat here. Medium plate dinners a reasonable size so you can enjoy an appetizer and/or a dessert without feeling over stuffed.... More

I had scallops which are a bit pricey anyway but they were slightly undercooked, my wife and braised beef ribs which were tender but slightly bland. For desert I had chocolate mousse which should be categorized more like pudding than mousse, I would have rated this 3.5 stars but the price was over the top.

We dined for the first time at Blue Pear Bistro on a Sunday afternoon, around 4:30 pm. The menu was nice, as were the specials. Our server was polite and pleasant. However, she read through the specials without mentioning the prices (a pet peeve of mine). A different server at the neighboring table read through specials and I heard him... More

Whenever I go here, I get a mood lift. The staff are pleasant and will spend time chatting with you. The bar serves well made cocktails and the wine list has just the right number of selections to compliment the variety of menu selections. Local sports are usually on at the bar but it is refreshingly devoid of overly intoxicated... More

My Daughter and I celebrated her birthday at the Blue Pear Bistro on 4/19/16. The bistro is next to the Dillworthtown Inn. it is a more casual place than the Inn. Very pleasant atmosphere and great service. The menu is smaller than most places but the choices are very good. We choose the calamari as an appetizer with a wonderful... More

We had an outstanding experience at the Blue Pear. Delicious food and friendly, professional service. The food has creative touches which make the dishes interesting. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality received. We have been there several times and it has never disappointed.
