Not stellar in comparison with Pittsburgh or Boston location. Just ok. Prime rib french dip at lunch was extremely fatty. Could not eat. Steak at dinner was good but not like the bone in filet in Pittsburgh which is fantastic.
Service was excellent and food was delicious but google gives the wrong directions to the restaurant which is located inside the Mohegan Sun Pocono Casino. I just walked in at 5:40 pm and they were able to seat me right away. Very stylish interior.
We went here for valentine's day and hoped for the best after a dismal performance a month ago. One of us didn't get to eat. We drive almost 2 hours to go here. The service was good but the kitchen manager needs to be fired....If you can't cook a New York strip medium after 3 tries then get out of the business. I'm sure Bonanza is looking for a chef. We won't be back. Go somewhere else, anywhere else.More
Beautiful atmosphere, very clean, tables apart from other guests. We had reservations at 5:30pm and of course they took us at 5:22pm so we didn’t have to wait any second more. It’s our second time around so we decided to start with two Stellas and...a beautiful delicious calamari done in a sweet chili sauce. After our appetizer the steaks and the crab cakes came. OMG totally amazing, the presentation was nice and the flavor out of this world. Delicious!!!! 5 stars. No room for dessert but we will be back for that in the future.More
This is our go to restaurant and after the covid lock down we wanted a good steak. We reserved on Ruth's Chris website a week ahead and had a confirmation email with the correct date and time. However, they didn't have our reservation. They explained...a glitch in their system and seated us 15 minutes after our reservation time. The server was terrible and the assistant was nowhere to be found. Empty glasses, plates not cleared and typical diner service is what we received. Three of the steaks were undercooked and the potato casserole was runny and lobster bisque luke warm. We came as close to stiffing a server Kira as we could. $40 was way too much but we aren't those kind of people. Everyone has a bad night and this was a complete breakdownMore
5 of us ate here on Saturday night. All 5 meals were served sizzling and were wonderful. We had lobster tail, NY strip, ribeye, bone in filet, and filet Oscar. All the steaks were cooked as ordered and the lobster was excellent. Good job.
We made reservations for our 48th anniversary dinner on August 12. Due to limiting capacity and social distancing it was very pleasant having plenty of free space around us. But that was only the start. Our table was decorated with rose petals and the hostess,...assistant waiter, waiter and maitre d all made it a point to congratulate us during the evening and even know our name. Later, at the end of the meal they gave us a special dessert to share with Happy Anniversary written out in chocolate. OK that was the special things they gave us.
Everything else was what I'd call normal greatness. We had eaten at a few Ruth's Chris at other location and knew the food would be top notch. If anything it got even better. I love gumbo and am usually disappointed most of the time. Here I thought I was in New Orleans tasting a new winner in the gumbo derby. The filets were perfectly cooked. I joked with the waiter that when I cut it I repeated a Gordon Ramsey phrase about what it should look like -warm pink center - perfect. The shrimp that decorated it was also perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. The creamed spinach - another favorite of mine was also ideal. The cheesecake dessert that finished the pre fixe meal also did not disappoint and my specialty Earl Grey tea was worthy of any gourmet meal. I'll definitely come back just to sample so many of my favorite dishes both as entrees and appetizers. The reason I took the pre fixe was the difficulty of deciding and the allure of perhaps a great gumbo on it.
Of course it was very expensive and maybe take a point away from the rating but all was so well done and such an enjoyable experience even at the price it was well worth it.More
