We arrived a little early and sat at the bar.....Bar tenders were very friendly and made great recommendations. We sat outside on a nice little patio. Service was good as was all of our food. Definitely an upscale restaurant with upscale prices. Special occasions only.

WOW!!! What an unexpected surprise!! We were traveling from Virginia to New York and happened upon B+V. We did not have a reservation so we opted to be seated at the bar since we were “drop ins”. They offer a full menu at the bar....We were greeted by an outgunning, friendly hostess and we seated by a pleasant host. Every staff member we encountered was well trained and pleasant. Travis welcomed us and presented us with an impressive craft cocktail list. Travis and Rebecca are in sync behind the bar. Both can mix equally well. My husband enjoys bourbon so he chose the Arsonist. Presentation was impressive as it arrived in a wooden monogramed smoking box. Classy! I enjoy wine and Travis suggested a delicious red from Lebanon. The menu was full of interesting choices. Travis suggested the Sheeps Milk Burrata and it did not disappoint. I appreciate that chef offers both small and large plates. It allowed us to try more things. We followed this with the octopus, goat cheese ravioli, and osso bucco tortellini. The oysters are not to be missed. We oyster farm and have had oysters prepared various ways. The Hay smoked oysters with the limoncello granita was out of this world! I did not have room for dessert but my husband could not resist. The pastry chef is from NYC. Creative desserts fill the menu. My husband was “wowed”. The B+V chef has trained all over the world and it shows. He brings his experience and expertise to create eclectic food with a farm to table vibe. Congrats chef for a job well done!! We have dined all over the world and you impressed us!!!! You have a hidden gem Wilkes Barre! Please support this impressive restaurant. Chef if you ever want to move Bank and Vine to Yorktown, VA our area would fill your restaurant every night!!More

Nice atmosphere. Tables far apart. Great attentive staff. Nice options. Delicious French press coffee. Chicken and waffles were great, large portion with thick bacon on the side. The potatoes are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside with the perfect seasoning. Homemade bread,...three options and three sauces. Yummy deserts too!More

The staff were very attentive, but never over the top. We had talked so long and forgot to even look at the menu... But eventually we ordered. We had the Salmon and the Beef Bourguinon and they were both wonderful. Loved this place. We'll be...back. For sure.More

I have visited this restaurant twice, and the food has been really good both times. I had the Scottish Salmon last time, and it was really tasty. The cocktails are good and the staff is really friendly. I would say this is one of the...best restaurants in Wilkes-Barre.More

Anniversary dinner with our family. Food was wonderful. Service was prompt and polite. Beef Bourguignon was fantastic, as was the coq au vin.

Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is charming, the staff attentive and the food was wonderful. My husband raved about the duck and the crab cakes I ordered were fantastic. There was also a nice wine selection. We dined early on a Saturday night, 5:30,...before a concert, and the people there were dressed from casual jeans to suit and tie. Both felt appropriate. Please don’t hesitate to try this place because you won’t be disappointed.More

We had a table right inside the front door which is a chilling experience in winter, but the decor and service at this place is fantastic. My husband had the prix fix which included an appetizer n dessert which we shared. The shrimp scampi and...strawberry shortcake were both very delicious. The prix fix entree was a lemon chicken dish with crab which I enjoyed, The coq au vin, which I had not tried before, was not one of my favorites.More

I wish they did lunch here. Anyways, last month I finally had the chance to get out to have a meal there. Only stopped in for a 'snack' and got more than I bargained for. I can not think of one thing to criticize. The...experience and food was so fantastic, I moved my schedule around and carved out the time to eat there again last week. Does the menu change with the seasons? I hope so, I look forward to going there again soon.More
