Unfortunately, this restaurant is permanently closed. Unsure what happened but they used to have great fried clams.

Well, word has reached down here to Dixieland that Horton's in East Providence got shut down because of some typical Rhode Island political hogwash. What can I say, Don't make a Yankee mad! I'd like to think they'll reopen sometime soon. Heck, if I'd been...More

A nice locals atmosphere. Great seafood menu. A very generous portion of fried oysters. Friendly servers.

We went to Horton's tonight for some delicious, fresh seafood. Unfortunately we found the place closed and for sale, what a shame other RI institution closed due to politics.

Local favorite, unfortunately closed down last summer due to local over-regulations. The cost of doing business was just too much.

Is it really closed forever? I went here for 10 years before we moved away in 2001 but would always visit when we returned to Providence several times a year. The fried whole belly clams were the best! Just a great all-around local seafood shack.

In mid September 2014 The City of East Providence closed Horton's due to structural non compliance's. The owner on facebook said she had enough. Let's hope this well established experienced Seafood restaurant returns!!!!!!!!
