Can't beat Charlie's for a quick bite or a full lobster dinner. Good home cooked food, generous portions and super nice people. Pop in to watch a game or the news or hang out at a booth with the kids. Meat and mashed potatoes or fish and chips - all good.

This was absolutely terrible, from the service to the "food". Took over ten minutes to get a glass of water, should have been our first clue. Upon ordering a cup of chowder for starters..it came out luke warm...30 minutes after ordering. The main course didn't come out for another 35 minutes ..the fries were cold and soggy. Daughter's Pasta was... More

The LeMay America's Car Museum "Drive Back Home" Heritage Tour added Chopmist Charlie's as their Dec. 28 lunch stop for their 12 day 2,100 mile classic car 2017 Heritage Tour to the Detroit North American International Car Show. I have been a longtime visitor to Jamestown and Chopmist! I have been to Chopmist on several occasions thru the years. Made the big mistake of having a business dinner there! My guest and I ordered the fried whole belly clam dinner. Shame on the cook and server!!! We both were served a heaping pile of fried batter bits! If... More

We tried this place for lunch on a brisk day in RI. We were very happy with the mean. Lobster sandwich was really good as was the calamari on the Caesar salad. Everything was very fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was tops. We definitely will return.

We were over on Jamestown and we decided to have dinner. We stopped by as the menu looked appealing. My husband had the New England seafood au gratin and stated it was wonderful. Very rich. I had the shrimp scampi. The scampi was good but the pasta was a little too al dente for my liking. We had the wedge... More

I was looking for steak and my husband wanted chowder. Food was good but not exceptional. There were several folks gathered around the bar area watching sports on the TV. Looked like a friendly gathering place. Service was good and we enjoyed our meals. Jamestown is a small, almost sleepy town and we were staying for a few days. It's... More

Great food and service. We ate there two times and enjoyed every bite. Fish and seafood was what we were looking for and Chopmist was the place.
