mellow, relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent. Made up for the lousy hotel we stayed at that was nearby.

Our family went there on 10/16/16. We were not really greeted in the best manner by hostess Michelle. She was rude and had the worst attitude for a Hostess with all the guests who approached her. She cleared a few empty tables and tossed our menu's down, then walked away.. So we weren't sure if we were going to dine... More
I've gotten several things here at various times, including the really good fish and chips, but their lobster bisque is my favorite. Their sangria was great if you don't like it really sweet. The tzitziki sauce on their chicken pita is awesome, as well. Their waiting staff was so nice. It's right on a body of water by not where... More
Diane and I went to lunch at the Tavern after walking around town doing some shopping.Diane started with a Cucumber Cooler $10.50 a very tasty drink. I had a Orange Habanero Margarita $11.50 also very tasty. For a app. I started with a cup of New England Clam Chowder $5.50 it was fairly thin and very tasty. For lunch Diane... More
This is a great little restaurant with great food and even better drinks. I absolutely loved my watermelon mojito; it was so refreshing on a hot summer evening and the service was great. It can get pretty busy. It looks like its right on the water but in fact its accross the street so its a little bit deceptive but... More
Our group of three adults and three children went to this restaurant for lunch. They were not very busy, and we were promptly seated. Service was poor. The waitress brought water, but no menus. After waiting too long, I got the menus myself. The waitress took the drink orders, served them, but neglected to bring one of the adult’s drink,... More
We've been here several times over the years and enjoyed being a part of the summer scene, overlooking the water. Friendly staff, food average and atmosphere dated. Could use a revamp, including menu.
Menu is typical beach fare -- hamburgers gyros soup salad etc. we had the calamari which came without the listed banana peppers. Breading was hearty but crisp and the calamari was tender. Chicken gyro was unremarkable although I appreciated that they cut it in half and did two plates when we said we were sharing. The lemonade was a disaster... More
While the view is beautiful, it is unbelievable that there is only ONE restroom at this restaurant. Not only that, but the restroom is upstairs. This is problematic if you are with elders or those who are physically challenged. (Aren't there ADA regulations for public establishments in Rhode Island?)
I have never had a mediterraen tuna salad, so I decided to try it and viola, excellent, made with capers, lemon juice, olive oil and diced onions suerved in a lovely ciabata roll, the humus salad was also a hit, this is a quaint lovely tavern in the town of north kingston lovely shoppes to stroll along the water edge....
