My husband and I LOVE Ladles, and pick-up on pretty much a weekly basis. The 'greek lemon chicken' soup is beyond delicious, along with sandwiches. A local favorite for sure.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Friday in Lent when we wanted just a light bite, meat free. We had their XL great deal. It was a grilled cheese with a 16 oz bowl of she crab soup, drink and a very large chocolate chip cookie for $7.95, all of which we split. It was a great deal... More

We went here for lunch. You order at the counter and they bring your entree to you. The service is fast and efficient. They had 8 soups, including chili, the day we were there. Sandwiches are also available.

This is our first vacation to Charleston, and finding great restaurants is a given. However, sometimes we come upon them unexpectedly and that is exactly what happened when we passed Ladles while walking back from breakfast. This location is a mainly residential street and the business is located on a lower level of a beautiful house that is being restored.... More

Ladles has a great selection of soups, sandwiches and salads. I love the Greek lemon chicken soup with the grilled gooey pimento cheese sandwich. Yummy!!

The soups are very good but it is a little expensive beyond the half cup and half sandwich. But it is average. Your best bet here might be to take the soup home. Atmosphere is ok but not particularly welcoming. But for a small sandwich its ok.

We love Ladles! This is a great stop on the way home from work to grab a quick meal! Also a great warm treat on cool days!!! The soups are always great! Samples are handed out to help you make your decision! The 3 bowl sampler is my favorite!!!

Have really well done soups, salads and sandwiches. Had the She Crab soup and a Pimiento Cheese Sandwich. Both were quite tasty. Friendly staff, very clean.

What a terrific and quick lunch we enjoyed at Ladles in downtown old town Charleston, S.C., near the university! A selection of half a dozen homemade soups and a chicken or turkey chili, and several salads. Our soup, chili and salads were delicious! If we lived nearby, we'd dine there regularly. But we were on vacation. Tiny, with 3 or... More
