This tiny strip mall restaurant was a little challenging to find, but well worth the search. Like I said, this place is tucked into the back of a strip mall on James Island. It is small with only 9 tables. We came for lunch and it was half full. Nice atmosphere, clean tables and floors, funky music, and polite attentive... More

Cool, peaceful, simple. Those are the words that come to mind to describe this sweet place. Ample vegetarian choices including something called a Dosa(which I am definitely going to try on my next visit (and there definitely will be a next visit). Off Busy Folly Road near Camp Street, this place will transport you to a restful meal with great... More

I visited Odyssey restaurant tonight for the first time since moving to James Island. The food was very good. It is rare I am able to find souvlaki and really enjoyed it. However, I was the only person in the restaurant at 6pm. The server I believe was also the owner/manager. He was polite, brought me my food, and I... More

We enjoyed very good authentic Greek food at the Odyssey. The salmon kabobs (cooked to perfection) and beef/lamb gyros were excellent - all served with delicious zatziki. The owner was very cordial and humble, taking time to talk with us. When we return to Charleston, this will be on our list of restaurants. It was very clean and a pleasant... More

We had a wonderful time in this authentic Greek restaurant on James Island near the downtown Charleston connector--without the high cost or loud noise. The one-waitstaff establishment has great appetizers --every thing was delicious, especially borani and dolmas, which were unusually flavorful. My wife's gyro was great. I had gyro and vegetables (SOUVLAKI), best I have had anywhere. Our server... More

Don't be fooled by the location or the exterior appearance, this place offers excellent Greek food!! Our party of 5 had lunch there last week, the service was excellent and the food was superb. The prices are very reasonable and the serving are generous. If you're looking for a fancy Greek restaurant, don't stop in here; but if you're looking... More

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner. Lunch was delicious. Gyros are full on meat. Very good Greek salads. Can't wait to go back for dinner!

Quietly located on James Island. this restaurant is a hidden gem in Charleston! We ate here after reading the great reviews. Service was great and the food was outstanding. Greek people eat here. We saw them...LOL! Don't miss the opportunity to eat here again and again. The baklava was the best I have had anywhere.

An overlooked gem on James Island. Greek food with a home cooked flavor. Very economically priced. If you want good food in a quiet and informal setting, this is a good choice.
