Food was great, service wonderful! Only down side is portion size small. We left the restaurant a little hungry. Guess we could have ordered more food, but Decided to go for ice cream instead!! Clams and Oysters really fresh, Caribbean fish stew a little spicy...More

A must stop for seafood while visiting Charleston. Menu is amazing and there is always a good selection of fresh fare. The rum menu is simply amazing. And oh boy did I enjoy those single ladies Moscow oysters

Had dinner with three friends at The Ordinary, which was anything but ordinary. Although Charleston has such amazing resto and foodie culture, this resto stood out for all of us. It's a combination of the décor (high ceilings, former bank, dark woods, etc.), the nice...More

Happy Hour at The Ordinary is amazing! 36 oysters from 6 different areas in a 3 level tower for less than $60. What a great time! And if you stay for dinner it’s amazing as well!

The Ordinary is awesomely simple and fresh seafood done creatively and perfectly. Oysters on sliders, Moscow (with caviar and vodka), crab toast and Buttermilk Panna Cotta; each dish was better than the next! Service was friendly and efficient. Oyster Happy Hour ends at 6:30!

First, let me say that our food was really good. The rating is not a knock on that. The beer list was limited to 11 in total (three or four of which were ciders). They were out of the only local beer they had. Their...More

We walked in on a busy Friday night with no reservations--we were able to order the full menu from counter seating near the bar... the food was elegant, playful, beautiful, and delicious. Servers and management were knowledgeable, courteous, and nice. You can tell the staff...More

This is a tough spot to get reservations (typical story these days for Charleston locals) so finally went with wife and sat at the bar. Expensive dinner, but worth it. Shared the crab toast (surprisingly delicious), oyster sliders, and lobster tail. Loved our entire meal...More

Food is fancy. Tastes good. If you're a rum person, they have great rum cocktails. Oyster sliders are fantastic.

We had made this reservation in advance of coming to Charleston and were so excited to eat here. The atmosphere was great, service was great but the value for the food was not good. It was very small portions and expensive. I will try this...More

Nice casual. Jackets not required. My own opinion is that T shirts and flip flops are too sloppy.

It wasn't that it is noisy - but tables are close to each other, so you can easily overhear the conversation of your neighbor. Normal level of business and people talking.
