The Gourmet Shop always has good food - it's often very crowded at lunch time. breakfast is also good here. When you've finished eating you can browse the extensive range of cookwares, wine and specialty foods

We stopped in for dessert and coffee. Service was prompt and attentive. The coffee was delicious and so were the lemon squares (which are more like lemon shortcake). What I enjoyed most about the place was the browsing. Wow! Checking out the huge section of wine, cheese, cigars, baked goodies, chef’s utensils, candy, etc. yielded about 30 minutes of entertainment.... More

This is one of my favorite places to go when we visit relatives in Columbia, SC. Friendly people, great food, reasonable prices. I love to go into shops that have unique items… this is one of those places.

Food was excellent and seems very popular with the local folk. They have outdoor and indoor seating. We had our dog with us and she was welcome at the outside table. We saw the owner twice while she was walking around and is very friendly and inviting. There is also a gourmet shop within the cafe. Had some excellent merchandise... More

Great soups on our visit. Most items were done right and tasted execeptionally well. The chicken sald was good--but nothing special. Other sides were excellent.

We stopped in for breakfast on the recommendation of someone who said lunch is great here. Breakfast was the same. We had a short window as we headed off to a USC pregame tailgate. Service was friendly and quick. Belgian Waffles, Ham and Eggs, Breakfast Burrito all very tasty. Small dinning area but not too loud. Tables a little tight.... More

The weather was perfect for dining al frecsa. We started with Pinot Grigio for my husband and I. The others had iced tea. We ordered a Charcuterie Platter with a French bread basket for the table. Delicious. My husband and I had a One, One, One Salad Plate with egg, chicken and shrimp salads which was scrumptious. My son and... More

The Gourmet Shop has great food as long as you don't mind waiting. We went in for brunch and they told us it would be a 45 minute wait. It was almost 1:45 minute wait. The food is great and I will go back but I will try to time it differently. The eggs and ham are my favorite. I... More

The options are tasty and consistent. I would like them to add more vegetables to their menu, like eggplants, carrots, squash, peppers, asparagus etc. It could be cooked, like a vegetable medley or added in their salads' option. Then I would give them an excellent!
