We were a business party of 6. Divino has been a very good restaurant for business dinners in Columbia for a long time. It had probably been 5 years since I last visited. Without question it is still doing a great job. Our group ordered everything from fish, veal and beef and it was all outstanding. The stuffed peppers and... More

Ristorante Divino is probably the most elegant restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina. The chef is a culinary artist with roots from Como, Italy. He is creative in the preparation and presentation of every dish. The ambiance is high class. The staff is very professional and most attentive. The setting is perfect for couples and most accommodating for business. It is... More

Pick Ristorante Divino for a group business dinner. We were put in the upstairs private dining room, we had a group of about 15, and we had one waitress to serve us and she had to go downstairs to get our food and drinks, except for beers. We had a limited menu and the choices were disappointing, not what i... More

I did not expect to find a restaurant of this quality in a smaller city like Columbia, but Divino's is fantastic. I went there as a guest of a local professor and regular. It's his favorite restaurant in town, and I can see why. I couldn't begin to expound upon the distinctive entrees or even describe the sauces, but the... More

If you come to Columbia, SC you must dine here. It is delightfully elegant without being pretentious. The restaurant is Italian, but almost always offers some surprises featuring local ingredients. They do not adhere to strictly Italian cuisine and the staff is as imaginative as they are talented. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered the scallops and my husband and son both ordered the Gnocchi - my husband had the Bolognese and my son had the gorgonzola. The gnocchi barely covered the bottom of the bowl. It was ridiculous! It was barely an appetizer portion! I got 3 scallops. I guess that's normal, I don't know. The food was good and the... More

Headed here on a Saturday night and was looking forward to giving it a try. I did make a reservation but upon entering it was a bit empty, but then I realized I was glad that I did as it filled up quickly. I was seated and my server came up and went over the night's specials. After hearing them,... More

This used to be the best restaurant around. Always a bit pricey but worth it. Fulvio the original owner recently sold it. The food is still good but the guy who seats you now(may be the new owner I don't know) is dressed in jeans and flannel and looks awful. This is a fine dining restaurant. Ive been back three... I try to eat here as often as I can when I am in Columbia for business. Love, love, love their food. It's always good and not as terribly heavy as a lot of Italian . The scampi and risotto are always good but their specials never disappoint. They have a wonderful wine list and great bartender. Great salads and... More
