Fish is very good. However both coq au vin and potroast very disappointing. I used to love the potroast but this had a very thin gravy and a strange sweet tast. Cog au vin also had very thin sauce which made the pastry crust on...More

This restaurant is not far from where I live, however with all the great places to eat in Charleston we typically end up here once every few months. We normally go here for lunch, though have been for dinner a few times. For lunch the...More

We picked Bistro 536 as our restaurant week adventure last week because we had never heard of it. Despite the fact that it is not in a glamorous location, the food was excellent as was our service! I would definitely recommend it.

We ate here for the first time tonight, and were both delighted with our meals, the pot roast with fried onions and the bacon wrapped scallops with pumpkin risotto. The service was great. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious food that is priced well below what it is worth! My husband had a $16 grouper entree that would have easily been $28 other places. Service was great and the food couldn't have been any better.

This place is one revelation in the area. Well "hidden" next to a Subway restaurant (btw this last got an amazing int'l staff that worth a stop), the outside look doesn't give a clue about what great restaurant is hidden inside. The personnel is very...More
