Wow, 1826 was just going to be an overflow spot since we couldn't get into an old reliable spot in Clemson because of graduation. This spot has been the home of pompuse, poorly executed restaurants all my adult life.Well, things have changed. Its a small focused...More

The restaurant is in an old building that belonged to a farmers' association and is in the center of the village, on the green. It looks as though it had been a courthouse or a bank (white columns, very stately). It has an outdoor dining...More

Lovely spot for a Friday lunch with friends that for me started with their featured sangria with strawberries. I had the fish tacos, which were excellent. Tender corn tortillas contained perfectly cooked fish, fresh vegetables, and creamy deep fried avocado. My lunch was beautiful and...More

If you are anywhere near Pendleton SC you have to eat here. I had the best mushroom and spinach soup. Also, Turkey, Brie cheese, jalapeño jam on flat bread. Loved it. Great service. Historical building on the square. Would definitely recommend and will be back!!

Very enjoyable dining..leisurely with quaint atmosphere and good food. Special is always good. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Not for everyday dining as a little pricey but worth it for a special evening out.

Historic with great food. Menu changes every few days, but there's usually something for any taste. I've enjoyed lunch a few times. It's a great place to introduce visitors to town.

Is there handicapped access to the dining room? My 95 yr old mother-in-law uses a rolling walker.
