As a family owned and staffed restaurant, the stress and wear and tear of running it just became too much and so they have now closed.

A little pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for. Plates are full of food, and it's good. I'm not sure you can ask for much more than that!

no frills at Burkes, just great southern smoked barbeque. The ribs and pulled pork are always good, Consistently good.
Good barbeque that hadn't been kept on cooker for days and weeks until it was sold and served. It was fresh cooked barbeque
I love Burk's. It's simple, good, and home-made daily. You get a choice of red (vinegar-based) sauce or yellow (mustard-based) sauce. You can go with a sandwich or just a BBQ plate or they have a few other offerings on the menu. Worth a visit.

The chopped pork was of decent quality but the serving size was pretty meager. I like their BBQ but not much on having to beg for extra sauce. Maybe I hit them on an off day.
