This pub has always been a favourite and continues to please. Excellent Sunday roast, beautifully cooked with tasty meat and lovely vegetables. The staff are always helpful and friendly here, with good beer and wine to choose from. The pub is in a pretty village...More

I had a terrible time here, management were terrible, food however was brilliant! Compliments to the chef, commiserations to your terrible bar manager. Oh and to adult insult to injury you must have a rodent problem because all I could hear was a dull thud...More

We hadn't been back to the Walpole Arms for many years: what a mistake! Very warm welcome (the service stood out), good selection of beers and wines and a varied menu. We chose prawns, mackerel, chicken and aged sirloin steak. All excellent, the steak especially...More

I ate here in the evening with my husband and daughter. For starters we both had the mackerel and pickled beetroot and cauliflower which was delicious. Our daughter had the Cromer crab cakes with a sweet chilli sauce which were equally as good. For our...More

The food was good but not as good as I expected We thought that it would rate alongside other gastro pubs but it was not outstanding in any way And although the staff were pleasant enough we felt a little ignored This was the first...More

Live locally and have always heard good things about the Walpole Arms. Went for Sunday lunch 27th August. Both had roasts. The actual quality of the food was good BUT both meals were spoilt by not being hot enough. Should have returned dishes but like...More

Hadn't eaten at The Walpole for quite some time, but the promise of jazz on a Thursday evening lured us back. Loved the food - an inspired 'raw' green salad to start, which, with fennel, some robust leaves and a well-chosen goat's cheese, worked brilliantly....More

We visted the Walpole Arms recently for Saturday lunch, taking friends with us, we all really enjoyed it. We don't go very often as it is quite a way from us in South Norfolk, but it is definitely well worth the journey. We took our...More

Description
The Walpole Arms, Itteringham, dating back to the 18th century is a traditional country pub, sitting within the heart of north Norfolk's picturesque countryside in the village of Itteringham. Itteringham stands on the River Bure, four miles north west from the market town of Aylsham and just two miles from the National Trust's magnificent Blickling Hall. We pride ourselves on offering an innovative and exciting menu, preparing dishes using the highest quality, locally produced, seasonal ingredients. Our traditional bar area is full of country pub charm, with a wood burner warming up cold winter nights, welcoming both diners and non-diners alike, whether it is a pint of one of our many real ales such as Woodfordes Wherry, Adnams Southwold, a glass of wine from the extensive wine list, or a meal from our a la carte menu.
