This is a diamond in the rough, great food and service. Authentic German food at its best. A small menu but very pleasing.

Don't forget dessert. Bring cash, and plan for a wait. Belly up to bar and have a German brew while you wait.

Came a couple days after Labor Day. The desserts make it with the visit. My husband had the chocolate peanut butter pie and was in heaven! I had the Napoleon Apple & it was very good. Both were huge so bring your appetite! The steak...More

Long wait for a mediocre filet and a regular baked potato. The best part of the meal was the salad and homemade ranch dressing

Nice dining experience. Can become quite crowded when tour buses or the 1880 train arrives. Even though it can get crowded, they did a good job of serving and food was good. I would recommend it and return.

Folks we spoke with raved about the restaurant, so we finally went. The wait is an hour....regardless of when you come....plan for it....and don't whine! They have a limited menu and because of this, it is extraordinary. Had the 9 oz filet and it was...More

No reservations taken here, so get there early or wait in line for seating, but it is well worth it. Best sandwiches or German food! Staff is always busy because this restaurant is always full! Take cash.
