We were traveling through Bristol and chose this restaurant based on TA reviews. I ordered the international special (Irish!) while my husband ordered the smoked salmon and angel hair pasta from the menu. I cannot say enough about how delectable everything was. The prices were quite reasonable, especially for such high quality food. The owners were very friendly, and the... More

Wow! I was amazed at Cafe Alona's! The variety of cuisines 'visited' in the kitchen is impressive. The five course special dinner is described on their website. We were there on 'Cajun' night. The portions were very generous and well prepared. You'll be glad you gave this establishment a visit...

We have eaten at Cafe Alona four of five times now. I have never eaten anywhere that does not need salt and pepper added. The owner is charming as well as a genius cook! She plays pictures on tvs with music that coincides with the international cuisine she is preparing that week. You can bring your own bottle of wine... More

Dinner at Cafe Alona. Special menu was Philippine cuisine and we don't eat pork. So, we chose to order form the menu. Artichoke dip w pita bread was very good and our three sons devoured it. we had spaghetti, Smoked Salmon Rockefeller and the prime rib. The salmon was delicious and accompanied by angel hair pasta and an amazing sauce.... More

Wow! I am so grateful for my TripAdvisor travelers! This little 'hole-in-the-wall' is a great find! The country of the week we dined was Israel: a 4-course meal encompassing the traditional chicken matzo ball soup, Smoked salmon with soda bread (to die for), Mango chicken over purple rice, and for dessert, a flour less cherry-chocolate decadent cake - all for... We were in town for a college visit. This place was recommended to us by one of the locals. I am so glad we went! It is very quaint. You can BYOB. They offer a four course special from another country. The selection rotates and we were there during Equador week. Let me just say that the food was amazing!... More

You need to BYOB. We found out once we got there. Food menu rotates weekly reflecting a different region. Food is good and nicely presented. Service is ok but needs a bit more polish. Location is out in the middle of nowhere but nice once you get in.

My wife and I read about Cafe Alona in a magazine and, after checking with TA, decided to give it a try. Wow! Were we pleasantly surprised. Outside the building doesn't look like much. Old and rather bland, actually. We arrived a few minutes early and all the curtains were pulled closed. We almost decided to NOT go inside. That... More

I see we have found us some new foodies. Our favorites type of foodies are well traveled guests who appreciate authentic flavor of how they are traditionally prepared. Especially that Philly steak and cheese. I have never while Visiting Philadelphia had the first green pepper on any sandwich. We do follow traditional way in our international cuisine weekly specials. Glad... More

My husband and I along with my brother and sister-in-law visited Alona's cafe last night and had some delectable food. My husband ordered the prime rib and the rest of us had the International feature of the weekend. It was nice to experience cuisine you can't find in this area. And that strawberry cheesecake was to die for! The best... More
