Second visits to places you've loved sometimes end in disappointment. Not the case here. Our return visit was just as wonderful as the first. St. John's just gets it right. The ambience is warm and lovely and the staff is unfailingly affable. We were seated...More

This place does it right. Everything was delicious from the pumpkin lobster soup to the halibut to the filet. Great wine selection. Sorbet flavors all super tasty and made in house and the devils food cake with chocolate peanut butter ice cream is amazing. Wait...More

This restaurant is fabulous! We stayed in Chattanooga just to eat here again. The space is beautiful, the staff is well trained and the food is incredible! We started with bacon wrapped dates and then shared the pumpkin lobster soup. To. DIE. FOR! My wagyu...More

I have eaten here 5 or 6 times and this is the first experience whereby I couldn't give a 5. The food was hit or miss from being good, very good or excellent. It has to be excellent all the time for a 5. Service,...More

The service and food were impeccable. We went on a stormy night and were one of very few tables seated. The filet was incredible.

St John's, like a fine wine, has become better with time. Always fantastic, in recent years the menu has hit its stride and the innovative wine list remains superb.

Forgot the most important part of my answer - the owner came by and introduced himself . He seems especially nice. Bet if you contact him in advance, he will help you plan a special evening!

When in doubt, I would just call them and ask, but I would make a reservation. Even IF it's usually unnessary, you never know what large group might walk in and fill up the table you would have had.😉 Our dinner was a good... More

This restaurant has two "restaurant sides". One is casual dress, definitely no shorts, t-shirts; the other side is more white table service. Need to call if a jacket is required for dressy side but I think for men a nice... More
