They need a larger dining room, but the food is well worth sitting at a little table! It is also nice being greeted and checked on like your family throughout the meal.

We've passed it several times, decided to stop. Small place but room in next building for larger parties. Diverse menu, everything from BBQ, BIG stuffed potatoes (special on Thursdays), hotdogs, salads and desserts. Lots of BBQ sauces to choose from. Clean facility, very nice wait staff. Will stop in again.

Really liked the owner; however the food was highly disappointing. The pulled pork was salty, and beyond that had very little flavor. The sauces, although they varied in heat, were nothing special either. Cole slaw was good, but portion very small. Baked beans tasted like they had been poured out of a Campbells's can and heated. I've had great baked... More

Had the BBQ sliders brought back to the hostel I was staying in. Very good and the sauce made the food extra special... Love it, wish I would have gone down with my friends.

Passing through Tennessee we stopped for lunch at Dawg n Hawg. I had the brisket plate with hash brown casserole and beans. Now I travel everywhere in the USA and this is the best tasting brisket I have ever had. Very nice smoky flavor but not overly smoky. It is a very difficult balance to achieve but they did it!... I ordered a beef sandwich they have a bunch of sauces for you to put on. It was very tender and I enjoyed it. Also had a salad and to my surprise it wasn't iceberg lettuce it was a field of greens salad. The prices are very reasonable. It's not fancy. Husband had the pork and said he enjoyed it... More

I recently went with my family for lunch. Have to say I thought the meat was a bit dry. Very tasty, but dry. The real culinary star are the side items. I don't think I've ever had a bad side there. Also, the service is always wonderful. Friendly and competent (Those aren't always mutually inclusive).

We frequently travel from South Carolina to Tennessee to visit relatives and are always on the lookout for good food. It was getting to be lunch time, and I pulled up restaurants in Erwin. We decided to try Hawg n Dawg and were glad we did! There is parking off Union street in a lot behind Hawg n Dawg. There... More

If your from out of town and your looking for a place to eat. This is the one and only place to go. My first time there was today and the hospitality was outstanding! The food was a whole other story. My papaw as a boy would fix BBQ with his three buddies. They actually had a small business where... More
