Just your average Mexican Restaurant. Nice atmosphere - I would go back again! The prices were average as was the service.

The ambiance was good and the food was pretty good. However, there are Mexican Restaurants in this town with a little more flavor and personality.

Per my husband, who has traveled multiple times deep into Mexico for medical mission trips, El Charolais has the most authentic Mexican flavor food in Johnson City. I personally can't handle a lot of spice heat, so the tomato salsa was out for me, but it looked fresh and chunky. Instead, I opted for their creamy white queso dip--they gave... More

We got an order of fish fajitas and Jaliscience. Both were great! The jaliscience is chicken and onions with cheese sauce and rice with beans. Got it to go and it comes with chips and salsa. I really like their salsa. Place is always packed!

Nothing else compares. It's delicious. There's sometimes a wait, but wait, it's worth it. From the chips and salsa to fajitas you can't go wrong.

We always get the Fajitas for two and it feeds three of us easily! Their chips are good as well. Restaurant is always busy which is a good sign!!

If you like Mexican made with really good quality ingredients, then this is the place for you. All the vegetables were fresh and good quality. The sauces were all homemade. The service was wonderful. The price was in line with most Mexican restaurants. Try it and you want be disappointed.

The staff is always so nice and friendly. I love going here for lunch and dinner. My favorite item on the menu is the tacos with onions and cilantro. They also have really good shrimp quesadillas and tacos.

My wife wanted Mexican food so we trusted Trip Advisor to give us a few choices and chose El Charolais. I had the shrimp quesadilla with rice and guacamole salad and my wife had chili relleno. Both arrived hot and were very tasty. They also had a good selection of draft beers. We shared a sopapia with ice cream for... More
