Enjoyed both meals we ate here. Tender pork for dinner with good mashed potatoes. Big omelet for breakfast, but basically steak fries for home fries. Sourdough bread was wonderful as well.

We loved the ambience of the hotel and because the Wellington's restaurant is part of the Carnegie hotel, we decided to stay for breakfast and enjoy the elegant dining room. We had a nice table by the fireplace looking into the ornate bar area with the intricate carvings of the Egyptian women, that we were told came from the Great... More

The presentation was good, the cut of the steak was good, but someone should be hung for putting sickly sweet butter on a filet mignon. Country is country, but there is a special place in hell for someone who does that to such a fine cut of meet.

Recently, when a family member came to town, we had occasion to dine at Wellington's. Although it is not an old hotel or restaurant, it certainly provides the illusion that it is. We had drinks at the bar first and the service was excellent and the bartender was very friendly, courteous and prompt. Then we moved into the dining room.... More

The food was paired perfectly with the sauces and seasonings. The desert was flambe, a great show. The wine list was great choices at reasonable prices. Our server Jesse was perfect.

We had breakfast and it was delicious. The best grits I've eaten. Large portion of biscuits and gravy and eggs cooked to order. The coffe was too strong for me and it was not hot. That is my only complaint.

2 eggs, country ham, grits, biscuit, and potatoes were fine for around $8. A cup of coffee for $2.75 seemed a bit stiff ,especially since the teeny tiny cups used to serve it made refills a necessity. In any case the food was cooked as ordered and the coffee was good so I don't have any real complaints. The ambiance... More
