I have not been a big fan of Asian buffets historically, but we decided to give Makino a try. It was Saturday lunch, and there was a good crowd, so that helped the food turn over quickly and keep fresh. I had soup for starters, which was good, then about 10 different sushi items, mostly rolls, which we quite good.... More

I'm usually not impressed with any buffet especially in the sushi category. This was the best sushi I've had since leaving California 25 years ago. The rice was still warm from the sushi chefs hand and the fish was ice cold. Generous portions of salmon, tuna and sea bass etc. Presentation was perfect but that's not why it was amazing... More

Only buffet I care to eat at, because it is clean and up to standards. My family enjoys going, especially on their birthdays. Yummy. God is good.

We prefer lunch because the all-you-can-eat buffet has the sushi on the bar, allowing you to pick a few pieces of this and that. At dinner, you order from your table by the roll. The food was wonderful today, as always. The lighting is better in the room to the right of the door if you have low vision.

Old place been here a long time. It looks updated inside. Very big buffet but not a large pre cooked area. Large selection of raw food for the hibachi chef to cook for you. This place has the largest sushi selection i have ever seen on a buffet. I tried 1 piece of every sushi on the buffet and i... More

As a sushi lover, I got tired of the crap "micro-sushi" that the other restaurants in Knoxville were serving at a premium price. Don't go to the elitist places in Knoxville for sushi and Asian cuisine, because Makino has got to be the best value in a ten-state region. In my many travels, I used to have all-you-can-eat sushi at... More

We drive from Crossville to eat here. This is our favorite restaurant the best Asian food I have ever had. The sushi is amazing and they have at least 20 different kinds.

We come all the way from Chattanooga to this sushi restaurant! We are from north, this is the best one we've found by far in our area!

Many types of Sushi, Maki, Chinese dishes, deserts including green tea ice cream. Grilled flounder is excellent and my favorite. Food quality is excellent and good price with seniors discount. Service are excellent!

Large buffet full of choices, from sushi to hibachi which they prepare to order. There is something for everyone on this buffet. If you can go for lunch the price is way lower so it's really worth it. I will go here again.
