Wow super everything was great! Our server Nina was over the top! Wonderful spinach Queso. Loved the Elvis Burrito!

The ambiance was very nice. However the salsa was not. Too much like a chili sauce verses salsa. I guess we prefer Tex Mex to authentic Mexican food. Will not be going here again.

I was told how fabulous this place was and wanted to like it, but it was just not for me. The first odd thing is that there is no signage to tell you this place even exists or what the name is. There is one picture of Chez Guevera above the exterior door but the glass is so darkly tinted... More

I really wanted to like this place, and judging the crowd (on a Wednesday night!) lots of people do. It looks wonderful, has the right vibe, and great interior decor, but the food gives away the deception. My impression is that the cooks have seen pictures of Mexican Food, but never actually tasted it. I guess the crowd likes the... More

Chez Guevara is one of the coolest hidden little gems in Knoxville. The atmosphere is very funky and eclectic and the food is very good. Their chips and salsa are great and the margaritas are top notch! I would make sure and allow some time to eat there as service can be a little slow at times, but it is... More

Not your typical Tex-Mex. This is authentic, homemade, fresh, and gourmet. Hard to find but worth the effort! Will definitely go back again and again.

This is where we go for Margaritas and Tex-Mex (I call it Cali-Mex) This place is always full and 95% are regulars. My favorite is the Chimichanga called Zapnins..

Sometimes we fail to review a restaurant that's so popular because you know they don't really need the review - loyal patrons will always return. But eating there last night after dozens of visits over the years made me realize that acknowledging decades of good food is important. The food has been consistently very good for the entire lifespan of... More

This is an old established place in Knoxville. The decor hasn't been updated in 30 years. The food is good but not great. The chicken in my enchiladas was overlooked and dry. The rice and beans were OK but I have had better. Service was good and prices were reasonable.

Great chips and salsa, spinach queso, and tuna chalupa salad. Cute hole in the wall place with great Elvis photos and obscure lighting. Check it out, only open for dinner.
