This is like the Davis' of Eastport Annapolis. It's on the edge of town and is great for a point of Guinness and bar food. You'll need to ask the bartender for a second drink or for your check. I waited for about 20 minutes for the server to come back and it was obviously not going to happen so... More

A lot of craft beer to chose from. Nice menu choices and a good price range. Service with a smile and very helpful with beer choice. Food was excellent. Ambiance was ok nothing special.

My friends and I visited Magpie on Paddy's day, It was busy, There was a manager working the floor and welcoming customers as they entered, the service at the bar was great, no delay in getting the busy bar staffs attention. As always a great selection of craft beers on offer, we managed to get seats and we ordered food.... More

Dalkey is a short ride on the DART from Dublin, but it seems that not that many tourists find their way out there. Even though it is just a few steps down from the railway station and you are in beerlovers heaven. The Magpie handles its combination of being a good pub with well organized service in a proffesional manner.... More

Provided you are not in a hurry this is the place to go in Dalkey. Good food and atmosphere, if you act like a stupid tourist you will be treated as such. I loved the place.

Excellent lunch at the Magpie. Fantastic food served by very friendly staff - couldn't do enough for you. Traditional bar with a modern twist. Plenty of atmosphere. Not hurried to move on so felt very welcome and comfy. Good for kids too. Highly recommend.

After spending €225.00 on a beautiful dinner with wine, we notice on the bill we were charged an extra 50 cent for bread, how The Magpie Inn can justify this after this amount of money spent is remarkable, food and service were great , but this will stop first time customers coming back . Apparently this is the chef making... More

This is a great pub with excellent staff and a very good choice of beers. Interesting food too! Really tasty and some fairly original dishes. Some people I have been there with are not that keen on the food though, particularly the soups. 5 points as a pub, 3 points as a restaurant.

Unfortunately the service at Magpie is very poor. I don't like to say this often but there is a lack of customer service skills that I have noticed at this restaurant/bar. I was there for dinner. The menu in my opinion is quite heavy and rich with such entrees as steak with duck egg and truffle mayonnaise etc. or cheaper... More
