Location good. Great staff. Good variety of food on menu and food was good. The bar/dining area was a bit too bright at night and could do with a bit more decor? A bit empty or cold interior. Otherwise worth a visit.

The Dolphin Hotel and Restaurant offered professional and friendly staff, clean rooms and a courtesy pickup from the pier (although to be fair, it's an easy 5 min walk!). The room was clean and modern, there was a bar with live music from the mainland on the Thursday I arrived, a breakout area overlooking a harbour, friendly staff and a... More

We stopped here for lunch, but mostly to escape the rain. I had the seafood chowder, which was delicious, served with flavorful brown bread. My husband had a sandwich. We appreciated the hot tea, and we had good service, as we were basically the only customers. Our server was attentive but also gave us our space. I would recommend this... More

I recently visited The Dolphin while on a trip to the Inishbofin food festival and while the scenery and location were beautiful I felt totally put off by how rude and inappropriate the owner was with me. While sitting at the bar with friends minding my own business he came over, singled me out and started making ridiculous comments about... More

Just dined here rather than stayed - décor is fairly basic but comfortable enough. Food was delicious. I had the smoked seafood chowder - which was packed with fish and flavour (and no potato, which I dislike in a soup) Loved every morsel of it - would make a lovely quick warmer upper for lunch if you out and about.... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful hotel. We were met by Pat on arrival who was very friendly and comical, really made us feel very welcome and at home. We had asked for a room with a nice view and we sure got one. Our room even had a little decking area out the front where we got to... More

we stayed in the Dolphin hotel and found it very comfortable. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. The owner was on hand to ask any questions you wanted to know about the island.

Visited here for dinner with a party of 9. Excellent in every way from the service we got to the top class food and wine. Owner was on hand to see everything ran smoothly on what was a busy evening and to cap it all superb value for money

We ate in the restaurant twice recently and the food was delicious, try the sirloin steak, amazing flavour and cooked exactly as requested. Pat was so welcoming and keen to look after my dietary(coeliac) requirements. Highly recommend!
