So, so. Was staying in the hotel and decided to eat here the first night. The restaurant was quite enough but I suppose it was a Monday night. I can't remember what I had to start but had the rib eye for mains which was a bit tough. Staff were pleasant but the food was nothing to get excited about.... More

Tried to take my mom here on a Friday for a nice lunch for her birthday and unfortunately we were informed that the choices were soup and a sandwich or carvery. Very disappointing. We decide to go to Grace's pub across the road where we had the most delicious lunch with fabulous service.

Poor experience in this restaurant. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday evening without a reservation, hoping we might get a free table. We walked in to an almost totally empty restaurant with only a handful of tables occupied. We stood at the till for several minutes trying to get the attention of one of the waitresses as they talked... More

The standard of food has really gone up this last while. The Steak on a Stone is delish and if, like me, you prefer your steak not to be mooing when it hits your plate, don't worry, it cooks pretty quickly on the stone. For those that prefer fish, The Tina Steak on the stone is another beautiful choice. I'd... More

Called in to Lawlors after the races on sunday evening. It was busy enough but got a table no bother from the pleasant staff. Had the 12 oz sirloin steak on a stone. My mouth still waters at the memory. It was the juiciest, most tender and hottest steak I ' ve ever eaten. My friends had the roast beef... More

Visited Lawlors on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday, was impressed by the busy feel to the lounge when entering. As it was mid week there was a steak on the stone special €17.95 and one of our party opted for one and was not dissapointed. I noticed many clients were choosing the salmon at €16.96 and I took... Always come here with family and bofriend and to be honest I'm never dissappointed. Food is always gorgeous but sometimes the staff can be quite uninterested, not much a problem for me but might be for other customers. Credit to the chefs!

When I booked to stay at Lawlors, the option of a four course menu for not a lot extra was appealing. So we turned up, me a wheelchair user and my wife, looking forward to dining. The front of house lady unfortunately did what happens far too often, she looked around for somewhere convenient to place me and that was... More

We recently had a family dinner at Lawlors. We lined up the special offer, Thursday night Steak on a Stone. I can usually do a good job of cooking a steak myself at home! However, this was my first time and it was fantastic, the steak was first class and the overall experience was great. I will definitely do this... More
