Marlfield is one of my favourite dining experiences in the country; fine dining , pricey but well worth the expense. The house / hotel offers luxury on every front . Rooms are spacious & grand; food is simply delicious; grounds are well worth a visit & very beautiful .

A top class restaurant offering fine dining at a very reasonable price. Loved the unique G&T to start. A really nice way to differentiate. A well trained professional team serves a tasty three course lunch. The team is attentive without being intrusive. This was our second visit in 8 weeks and we all agreed the food is superb. Looking forward... More

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner one Saturday evening in this well regarded hotel. We arrived shortly before the reservation time and opted to go straight to our table; we probably missed out on some of the ambience of the hotel itself. Throughout the evening the service was efficient, extremely polite, and attentive without being irritating.... More

We went for Sunday lunch. They have a 45€ price fixed menu with a number of wonderful sounding items. We were welcomed with a gin and tonic which was included in the price. We all selected the fish first course which featured tastey smoked salmon, crab with dill and a nicely done tempura prawn. The entre we all selected was... More

Myself and my partner visited Marlfield last Saturday for a special dinner. We were warmly greeted and offered a pre dinner drink. The servers were intent on getting our food order while we drank. When I asked for recommendations, our server was reasonably knowledgeable but gave the usual 'it's all delicious response'. I ordered the scallops as a starter which... More

This is a beautiful building and I lost count of the many awards on the wall . It takes a certain pallet to eat and drink here . It definitely caters for very pretentious people and older people who don't want to be disturbed on any level . The staff are as stuffy as the patrons. It is a beautiful... More

I have eaten here many times for many occasions and I am never disappointed. The quality of the produce is second to none, the presentation is excellent as are the staff. The food, put it this way my mouth is watering at the mere thought of it. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

You meet in the bar and while you have a pre dinner drink you select from the menue and when dinner is ready to be served you are taken to your table. The environment of the conservatory compliments the food.

Visited this house and Restraurant with my husband and friend. Absolutely stunning place. As we entered the House was amazed by the beautiful leisurely lounge with big armchairs. So cosy and welcoming. As we had a reservation we were shown to our table. Food was delicious and plentiful. Staff were attentive and so pleasant just what you would expect in... More
