Pleasant little place with friendly, helpful service and ENORMOUS portions. The espetadas were delicious and, overall, our meal was very good value for money. Very conveniently located if you happen to be staying in the Best Western Royal Hotel.

Great restaurant, staff are very friendly and provide a warm welcome. Espetadas were wonderfully cooked and dripping with garlic butter. Generous helpings of salad, chips and rice - impossible to finish. I enjoyed it so much I went a second time on my short trip to Jersey!

Loved this restaurant. Absolutely delicious Portuguese food, especially the "caldo verde" and the "espetada" with fried cubes of polenta, typical of Madeira Island. Thoroughly recommend Barros to anyone visiting St Helier.

Thought we would venture out as our first night and wanted to keep the hotel restaurant as a fall back. Very impressed with the food and service. The chicken and salt cod 'stews' were very good and we would have been happy to have one between us as very generous portions. A great find on our first day.

Recommended to us by a friend and did not disappoint. Had the chicken, beef and lamb espetada which was a great choice. Would definitely recommend.

I have been to Barros on numerous occasions as I visit Jersey frequently. I stay next door at the Royal and just pop across the road for dinner. For various reasons due to work commitments I have not been able to dine at Barros for a few months so when I got the chance to go with a work colleague... More

I apologise that your evening was not to your liking. Your prawns, as was explained to you are pre-cooked crevettes however they are seasoned by our chefs obviously. I did not say that they were not prepared by us. They are sprinkled with a dash of olive oil, covered with garlic butter and a sprinkle of paprika and put under... More
