A warm welcome awaited at this traditional country pub with its real, open fire, sturdy wooden furniture and we found the service throughout our recent lunch was excellent. They go out of their way to ensure your visit is enjoyable and you leave feeling satisfied with the hearty portions they lay upon the plate. A large menu with a few... More

Our family enjoyed a lovely Saturday evening meal at The Clovelly Inn. The food was delicious, honest, home cooking. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our evening - we'll be back.

Great country pub with a lovely atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and plenty of good traditional dishes on the menu. The food was amazing and I did not leave a bit (which is unusual for me and I even managed a fab pud!) I will most certainly visit this pub again soon.

I went to this Pub after a recommendation from a friend who used to live in the area and was told their Sunday lunch was a treat. I was heading to Launceston so decided to make the small detour for Sunday Lunch. I decided to have Roast Beef and I was not disappointed, The portions were large and very filling... More

Went for a birthday meal as we'd heard great things about the place. When we first got there the guy behind the bar was very friendly but he soon went home. We placed our order and the starter's arrived and were fine. When the main courses arrived the evening took a downward turn. The lasagne that arrived was a meat... More

We have recently moved into the area from the SE of England. One of the key factors in our feeling so relaxed and welcome so soon, is this wonderful pub. It is how village pubs used to be, unpretentious and welcoming, with well-kept ales, and good quality honest pub food. It is a family run affair, (mum does the cooking)... More

This place is a little off the beaten track but well worth the trip. We had lunch with friends and were the first to arrive - we were welcomed and had a great seat in front of an open wood fire. The menu is good british fare and is cooked and presented really well. Not often these days that you... More

We turned up at 14:35, five minutes after they had stopped serving lunch - we hadn't booked and came across this little gem whilst on our way to Finch Foundry. We asked if we had missed lunch and the lady behind the bar said that lunch stopped at 14:30, then she kindly went into the kitchen to ask chef if... More

Four of us had Sunday lunch here, roast beef was lovely. Puddings generous & traditional. Service was great, the pub was busy, staff friendly & helpful. Very reasonably priced & good portion sizes. Booking advisable Parking limited outside but spaces available at nearby public car park

We have been regular visitors to the Clovelly Inn for the last nine years and were made to feel welcome by Torben and Suzie from day 1. Their food is great value, with good fresh produce, including meat from an excellent local butchers in Tavistock. Week in week out, Suzie keeps up a really high standard of good pub food,... More
