Proper pub. Not a gastro pub (though the food is good and reasonably priced) Not a drinks boutique. A proper village pub in a beautiful old building. Dog friendly, separate bar and restaurant, good range of drinks, appealing menu. Probably best to book in season.
We've managed to eat a couple of times in the Castle Inn and the food is good value for money especially given the location however.............. getting a table is almost impossible and it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day you turn up....More
