I have been here many times over the years and it never changes - which is the whole point. The food is always good - try the rabbit pie and the selection of beer is good. They also have some nice local gin from Mortonhampstead.

Absolutely gorgeous inn with lots of history. Staff were v welcoming and friendly. My friend and I sat by the toasty glowing fire and enjoyed a delicious chicken & tarragon pie (compliments to the chef!). Will definitely return and I highly reccomend a visit!

Called in for lunch one day and the fries could have been used to nail up a board. Think they might have been oven chips. Yuk!
