The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship chose to hold their Annual General Meeting in thePrince of Wales Hotel in Princetown. A better choice could not have been made. The venue in the Restaurant, was ideal and provided free of charge' The Hot Buffet was superb. A choice of Chicken Curry with Rice and Mini-Naan Breads or Lasagne with Garlic Bread. Also... More

If you're looking for a good, local Sunday roast dinner don't bother going here. Portion size was good and large but the quality very poor. Frozen roast potatoes, carrots and chicken "crown" which was pretty dry. Out of the packet gravy. Absolutely no seasoning or flavour. How hard is to make a half decent roast dinner. You come out to... More

Starting at 1130 in the morning for their Grand Christmar Draw which had over 130 prizes; we then sat down to a four course Christmas Lunch which included a choice of Traditional Turkey or Honey Glazed Ham, or Salmon in Parsley Sauce or a... We took my sister-in-law and brother-in-law who were visited Dartmoor from their home in Oxfordshire to the Prince for dinner. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The ladies each had a fish dish and even though they requested small portions of chips, they couldn't manage to clear their plates. My brother-in-law and myself enjoyed the Homemade Lasagne with garlic bread... More

Nice and relaxing local pub. Highly recommend when you having long day walk or just stop on your journey across National Park. Staff was really friendly and supportive with my client. Just shame that I couldn't have one of their own ale, will return and have a try.

We always visit the Prince of Wales when coming to Princetown. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff who always make a fuss of our 4 legged companions. The food is delicious, great big portion sizes to satisfy after a day's walking on the moor and very reasonably priced.

visiting from Australia my family and I dropped into the Prince of Wales for a coffee after a walk on the Moors. What passed for coffee was disgusting, the latte was clearly from a sachet and the flat white was cheap supermarket instant. The mugs were stained and chipped and served by a grubby youth with unkempt hair. The pub... More
