This pub was recommended to us on 2 different occasions and so we thought we’d give it a go. It is an old fashioned pub with lots of character and the staff where friendly, the prices were fair too! However, the food portions were way...More

Fantastic setting, great value really good food with very generous portions. Very nice garden for outside dining in good weather, with a few ducks and chickens wandering about for interest

We are trying 2 or 3 pubs a week since moving to Devon. This is a beautiful country pub, full of character and charm. Great food, team and lovely garden area. The bar is cozy and what a "proper" pub should be.

Beautiful location and a real find. In this summer’s weather the garden, chickens and duck wandering around under the tables, is perfect for long evenings. The food was very good; fish pie and steak & Stilton pie. Very friendly service and good ale. Would recommend...More

Sitting in the busy garden in the sun with friends and dogs eating well prepared pub food and a glass or 2 of farmhouse cider. Pleasant and efficient staff too. This is how pubs really should be but often aren't. Jolly well done all!

Had a very pleasant lunch and drink here mid week. Bar staff very friendly and food and drinks excellent. Beware though it gets very busy at lunchtime in good weather - while we were there people were ringing to book tables for lunch.
