Smugglers Inn at Holcombe is so well established with local trade that even out of season, the place is busy. Saturday nights, it's positively jumping! And there's a good reason for this- the food and service is excellent. Not only does the menu offer a good choice of dishes including favoured starters and desserts but the star of the show... More

A big Thank you Smuggles Inn and all the team for a fantastic evening especially Jimmy and Nick. Good food and very well organised service with probably less than 10 minutes from the 1st meal coming out to the 40th meal. I look forward to next year

Arrived early on Friday Evening (without a booking) but luckily we were offered a table in the bar area. We both opted for the Carvery and didn't regret it - fantastic sized portions of succulent Gammon and Beef with a nice range of vegetables. As with all carvery's I overloaded my plate but it was all of a really good... More

This restaurant maintains a consistent high standard both with their excellent carvery selection and the a la carte menu. Staff are friendly and efficient. This together with a good range of ales & cider make this a repeat visit destination.

Stopped here for lunch and will definitely be going back. Our dog was made to feel as welcome as us and the food was fantastic. The vegetables tasted really fresh and delicious and the size of the portions was incredibly generous. Great value for money, can't wait to go back for a Sunday roast.

Friendly staff welcome you to The Smugglers Inn. Really good selection of food on the menu, my favourite is the fish crumble! An everyday carvery is always available with a good selection of vegetables and a choice of 3 meats. Would definitely recommend you pay a visit.

Superb situation on hawkish sea front, had two nice meals, my fish was fresh, the batter crisp and crunchy - but oh the disappointment at the so called tartare sauce! It was actually vile, heavens knows what it was, tasted like vinegar salad cream with something green stirred in. A sachet would have been better than this pretence. Pity because... More

Stopped off here having walked the dog on teignmouth beach. I'm GF and always struggle to find a choice to eat. Not here! Ended up with a gluten free crab sandwich, and partner had standard crab sandwich. Shared a portion of chips. £16 which as good as crab is expensive! OMG the sandwiches were huge, full of crab with crisps... More

Had dinner here whilst on long weekend in Devon. Due to an error on our part we arrived for our meal 50 minutes later than our booking. But our table was still waiting for us and there was no issue or question by the staff about our lateness, for which we were grateful. We had the carvery, one of the... More
