We stopped here for lunch whilst walking in the area. We both had baguettes which where very handsomely filled. The lady that served us was very friendly and chatty. If you are ever in the area this is a truely Devonian pub, with great local produce, great Devon ciders and ales, very welcoming staff and worth losing a few hours... More

Just popped in for a beer on the way home from Lynmouth to Brendon. Welcoming log fire, very helpful staff, very good beer - what more can you want!? Will be back for food soon.

We were passing on a walk and dropped in for lunch, and glad that we did. OK, the food we had was pretty basic but the staff were friendly, the beer was good, the place has lots of charm, it's cosy and the chips were brilliant. I'm tempted to return and use it as a base now I have read... More

The Inn may take a bit of finding, but it is worth it. The rooms are very comfortable with excellent bathrooms. Downstairs there is a cosy lounge for guests and even more cosy bar areas with all the old features. Meals are of a high standard and not too expensive. The staff are all very friendly and capable. The only... More

I found the staff to be more than helpful with an abundance of local knowledge. the rooms are tidy and modern and are all ensuite.. We walked... More

We came for evening meal and went away more than satisfied. A really imaginative choice of starters. I had Scotch Egg with soft boiled egg and the most wonderful home made piccalilli I have tasted in years. They should sell it by the jar. Our Gammon Steaks were perfect and our only complaint is that it left no room for... More

My husband and I stopped here after quite a lengthy and beautiful walk in the area. Thatchers gold on tap, always lovely. We shared the venison pate to start, beautiful. And we had bacon and Brie baguettes with cranberry sauce and chips to share. Nice soft baguettes, perfectly cooked fillings and the chips were the nicest I've had for a... More
