Poached eggs on granary toast with side of back bacon washed down with large cup of coffee. Delicious! Friendly service and tasty food. Recommend and will definitely return.

We visit South Molton every year and each time we pop into this tearoom because the food is SO GOOD! On the last visit it was a particularly cold day so me and my husband had homemade cauliflower cheese served with thick, doorstep crusty bread. Boy did it hit the spot! If you fancy a naughty treat have the large... More

Popped in for a light lunch, we had a proper ham salad & Broccoli Soup, the salad was great with thick cut ham, coleslaw, chutney, lots of salad and really fresh granary bread. The soup was homemade & came with the same lovely bread. 2 cappuccinos, a large piece of Bakewell Tart - less than £20... You can't go wrong.... More

A delightful old fashioned cafe. Very quaint place with old China. We had scones and cakes with tea and coffee. Really enjoyed it.

We live 15 minutes away in Chittlehamholt and thought we'd try somewhere new for Coffee this Saturday. Good decision! Warm welcome, huge and delicious toasted tea cake with lashings of butter and jam. Excellent coffee and a superb hot chocolate for my husband. This will be the first of many visits on market days!

First things first, we were welcomed and the dogs were provided with a fresh bowl of water. Our orders were then taken and we were served with lovely, home cooked food. We only had cake on this occasion bt it was well worth the visit. The latte and fruit flavoured tea was fresh and hot. We loved this little place... More

After a 2 week holiday at nearby Venn Farm we needed somewhere for a hearty breakfast before setting off home. Frankly, the 1959 Tea Rooms did not look a lot from outside, but as soon as we stepped inside and were offered seats for all six of us, we were treated to friendly service and delicious food. Our 4 children... More

Stayed just outside of South Molton for a week..and sadly, only found this place on the last day..run by two lovely ladies who are very nice with all the customers, We had breakfast there and everything was fresh and you could smell the home cooked food that they were preparing for later in the day. We would recommend this place... More

Visited a few times now, firstly for breakfast which was by far the best breakfast we have ever tasted, not greasy or oily and cooked fresh! Lovely range of teas also, we went again for lunch and took my nan who is incredibly fussy and I have never seen her eat so much or enjoy her food, I had a... More

3 of us went for lunch to this quirky cafe in South Molton. Decent food and service and prices and I think the 2 sisters who run it can be proud of their business! The menu was just perhaps a little limited, even within the confines of a 1959 themed experience, but I am sure that can be developed!
