We enjoyed a meal at The Stag with local real ales. The food was good quality and decent sized portions. Just mind your head on all the low beams and doorways!

We were drawn in here off the beaten track after following a road sign, we were hungry and needed a break on our way to Ilfracombe. What a lovely looking pub, absolutely gorgeous, really olde worlde and welcoming. We only ordered a sandwich each as it was midday and we didn't want a heavy meal. I had cheese and chutney... More

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and her father. We all had excellent food, especially my curry. Menu caters for all and the landlady couldn't have been more pleasant. Good old pub with lovely food.

After reading all the reviews we were expecting great things. The menu was very small and limited, there was no chicken/ white meat on the menu so fussy eaters might struggle. The starter selection was very limited (3) which was quite surprising for a classic country pub. If you like your meat this is a pub for you, the menu... More

My friend and I visited the stag inn today for a traditional roast and were amazed with what we got. It was so reasonable priced and was delicious! We will definitely be returning!

I can't fault my evening beer with rump steak meals - lovely. A nice village pub with a jukebox adding the Saturday fun feel. Thanks
