The was a total surprise. This lovely pub was close to where we were staying and had delicious food! We ate there several times during our two weeks in the area and everything we had was really good. Give them a try....quaint little spot!

I've used this pub since 1993 and have seen it change quite a lot over the years. I went there with friends on a lovely sunny day this week for lunch - which we took outside as it was so warm. Only two tables were being used by diners inside the pub and it was otherwise quiet. Only one person... More

Our family met here after a funeral at the local Crematorium on a Friday lunchtime. We were not sure that we would make it before 2pm when they stop selling food but we're advised if we were definitely going to be arriving they would keep the chef back. They had reserved a table in the dining area for us but... More

This pub was recommended to us by our friends who live locally. It certainly lives up to its good reputation. We were greeted warmly and, despite being a busy Sunday lunchtime, they managed to fit us in without us having a reservation (although I would recommend booking first to avoid disappointment). The Sunday roast was excellent and arrived quickly. The... More

This is a really nice village pub which has a very friendly atmosphere. There is a good selection of starters, main courses and puddings as well as a children's menu. The food is good quality and there is plenty of it. There is also plenty of space and it was child friendly. We were three generations and everyone enjoyed the... More

We were a party of 8 with 4 adults and 4 children aged nearly 1 to 12, the pub had a great atmosphere, a real buzz about it as we walked in. We booked for 1:30 and the table was ready on arrival. The adults all had roast beef the children ordered from the little people's menu. The food and... More

Wow, what an amazing pub. Great beers, a pool table, darts, and rugby on the large television! We visited the thirsty farmer on a Saturday afternoon. The beer (Otter Ale) was clear, fresh and the perfect temperature. The restaurant area is away from the TV, pool etc so it is still intimate. I had the calamari with melon, shallots. And... More
