Unusually very quiet, really friendly and helpful staff. We had a really lovely bottle of wine on Saturday. Family had breakfast there on Sunday morning...and we popped in again on Monday eve. Great place, food looks really good!

The conservatory restaurant is very welcoming or you can eat in the bar area. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner during our stay and the food was excellent on all occasions. The staff were helpful, the Sunday roast was exceptional, lunch you can have a sandwich, soup or something more substantial if that is what you are looking for. The... More

Had dinner here while staying couple nights at the hotel. Food was good enough , maybe not a great choice , but of good quality. I know it is not easy to offer every night different choices but in that case we would have had dinner also on the second night. Anyway nothing to complain.

we have driven past this pub countless times but never ever thought about going in. We were in need of a roast, and went to one of our favourite pubs nearby. It was packed so we didnt bother, instead we turned back towards home whilst arguing about where on earth we could go as time was getting on. As we... More

A proper pub menu but cooked to an excellent standard. We had pork chop with mash and steak with chips and both were delicious. Washed down with an excellent ale

Good home cooked Sunday Roast dinner in the conservatory of this traditional village pub. Attentive service friendly staff and good food. What is there not to like.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst traveling around Dorset and Wiltshire. We booked online and had a friendly welcome on arrival. We stayed in the Poppy room. Very clean, spacious with a great view of the country side. Breakfast had lots of choice and plentiful. Staff again were lovely. We ate in the restaurant for both nights Great menu... More

Fantastic food, great choice of locally made ciders and beautiful environment. My only negative comment would be that you need to make enough Yorkshire puddings for the roasts on offer. My daughter in law sadly did not get one! The butternut squash risotto was astounding. Even double the quantity would not have been enough, it was that good! Cheeseboard was... More

We have eaten here twice this week. On both occasions the food has been excellent, cooking, presentation and above all taste and flavour. The staff are pleasant and very attentive. Add to this the charm and ambience of the bar /restaurant area, it makes for a really nice experience. Our only concern would be the length of time between order... More

Fabulous quirky interiors and friendly enough staff but very disappointed with food and time it took. Luckily we settled to a game of Scrabble so it only seemed to take forever towards the end of the hours' wait. On first view the menu looked promising, a little pricey in places but varied. The reality was a ridiculously small lunch mains... More
