Went in with friends for lunch. Lovely old quaint pub with spectacular views and a good outside space for sitting when the weather is good. We all ordered food and I was disappointed. I had the Whole Tail Scampi, chips, peas and homemade tartar @ £11.95. It arrived minus the tartar and the scampi was so overcooked they were like... More

Our sat nav had difficulty in finding the pub which is several miles away from Corfe Castle. Thankfully a friendly dog walker pointed us in the right direction. There is a large, muddy car park and the views of the castle from the large garden were hidden in mist. It must be wonderful on a sunny day. The pub is... More

We came here for dinner during our holiday to Swanage when we stopped for a drink after a day out in Corfe. I had the burger which was homemade and absolutely wonderfully cooked! My fiancé had the pie which he adored. We shared the Purbeck ice cream for dessert which is located on the farm next door to the pub... More

We went for Sunday lunch. It was quiet - no music to distract us and we were able to conduct a conversation without straining our hearing or voices. The standard of food was excellent and great value. The menu was varied - we chose the traditional Sunday lunch fayre. All serving and bar staff were very friendly and efficient. The... More

We walked to Kingston for lunch last Sunday. The service was good, the meals tasty and arrived promptly even though it was busy. Most of the group had the small roast which they found to be substantial for an older person. I had the vegetable soup as did another friend. It was full of veg and the bread rolls were... More

Lovely atmosphere on here on a Sunday, friendly, families, dogs welcome :) The staff were lovely. But the food was excellent, probably the best pub I've ever been to. Perfectly cooked pork belly roast that was soft on the bottom and crunchy on top. Followed by a brilliant chocolate brownie (and sticky toffee pudding that someone else had). Highly recommended!!

I visited with s large group of friends visited today, plus children too, and we had a wonderful meal with great service. We were asked to pre order the food, which was not unreasonable for a group of 12, plus kids, and when numbers changed they were very accommodating. The staff were attentive and provided great service. The food was... More

We've been to The Scott Arms several times over the years when out walking and it remains one of our favourite places. It maintains a consistently high standard of food, including vegetarian and vegan options. There is an emphasis on locally sourced fare, including a tasty range of local ales. The service is at a relaxed pace and you feel... More
