Our party of 4 booked a Good Friday meal and whilst none of us are of any religious-persuasion, we all decided to have fish which was absolutely brilliant. Chef, Simon did us and his fine reputation proud and was extremely helpful in putting together a great meze for one of us combining cod, Cornish sardines and prawns which was truly... More

Had spent the day at the Swanage Railway for their Strictly Bulleid event and then had a great meal here before our long trip home.

Was here a year ago and the pub has now changed hands. Whilst it is still a great place to go and have a drink and everyone is really friendly, sadly the food is no longer fantastic. Two of us ordered the jacket potatoes with tuna and cheese and were bitterly disappointed. The potatoes were small, not hot and mine... More

Love pub and feels very traditional. Nice log fire. Welcoming staff. Didn't feel child friendly though. Good selection of ales. Seemed a locals pub.

I was in the Duke of Wellington last night and Hayley was serving behind the bar on her own. There were lots of drinking customers and food orders for here to deal with. she was happy, friendly with all the customers and very efficient dealing with a lot of customers

A last minute decision to go here for a meal on Sunday. The lady behind the bar could not do enough to help as we had not booked but we did get there early evening, so not too busy. Food good, wine good and a buzzing pub. We will be back! Thank you 😊
