Not a lot of choice for my tastes, too much burger orientated food and not enough 'traditional' English dishes. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the pub was fairly quiet but then it was a midweek night. The meal I ate was okay but not as good as I have had elsewhere.

We were staying in Wool, and found this pub disappointing, in Atmosphere and the food not up to expectations.

My family and I came here for lunch on Mother's Day! Well it was a huge mistake and regret! We had ordered the roast which was priced at £9.95! I am not exaggerating when I say I wouldn't have fed this to my dog. The beef was as thin as paper and was all curled up as if it was... More

The Ship Inn menu was incomprehensible, to me there was nothing on the menu that I really wanted a strange and small menu, infact the only thing that I wanted was the Beef Burger which I must admit was one of the nicest I have ever had,the service was good, staff friendly, just let down by a strange menu,

We have been to the Ship before it was refurbished and when it had a really good menu with lots of choice, in our opinion it has now been spoilt, looked online for the menu and it appeared to have a good choice of dishes but found on arrival that the menu mostly consisted of various choices of Beefburgers, we... Def worth a drop in if you are driving past. We went on a Sunday and roast portions were decent! Also a lighter menu incase you want a smaller bite too. Staff friendly.

This was a good pub, serving standard pub grub, having said that, I had a haggis burger, which was very good. Beers were good.

We have driven past this pub for years but never visited for a lunch - what a mistake! My wife and I visited there today and what a surprise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rustic ambiance was very pleasing. The food was fantastic - so very tasty. We are well impressed and we are already planning a second visit.

Visited on a relatively quiet sunday, only 4 other diners in the restaurant.. we waited 30mins for two roast dinners & a chicken burger.. neither of the meals where anything special.. basic pub food. It was a little expensive for the quality of the food, I would visit somewhere else it you have other options.
