Menu looked appetising so thought we'd have an evening meal. Not just the regulr pub menu but some other dishes not normally seen as well as specials. But the portions are quite large. My ham hock terrine starter was enough for a main meal and my wifes Slow cooked Ham Hock was enormous. More than enough for 2.

Dropped in for a late lunch, mainly because it was one of the few places serving food at that time of day. Pleasantly surprised by both the quality and quantity of the dishes. Starters of whitebait, soup and terrine were all generous and very tasty. Mains of chilli, pie of the day and the faggots were again delicious and enormous.... More

Excellent meal with friends last week. Good choice of menu, had the pick n mix faggots which are correctly priced at £10 as wholesome and plentiful, strongly recommend the fruit crumble and custard. Excellent ambience and choice of draught real ale and cider and spirits. Parking directly outside hotel limited although plenty nearby. Would definitely come back again.

Stayed for two nights at the hotel. Very welcoming staff. Hotel is in the centre of the town and close to all amenities. We were very pleased with our rooms. We ate in the bar on the first night. Home made Chilli was very good. Good selection of traditional beers available and over 100 brands of Gin. Very pleasant outside... More

Very smart and well kept hotel conveniently located for visitors to Wareham. Charming, comfortable bar with over 100 different choices of gin ! Eight of us had dinner and were slightly underwhelmed

If we could have chosen another place to have lunch we probably would have, but it was the only place around with table space at the time... Should have realised then. We sat down to have lunch, and it's was alright nothing special, the chairs were a little squeaky and the table too. The portions of the mains were of... More
